And thus goeth the glory of the world, or something like that.
After 6 and a half years, I'm officially shutting down my LiveJournal. Yes, this is for real this time; no, I won't be deleting it, but I won't be posting in it anymore (except for the occasional friends-locked post, since there's still a lot of people here that read my LJ).
I know I've been talking about how I never use my journal anymore, but the truth is, I do like keeping a journal....I'm just lazy. :/ That said,
this post sums up some of the many issues I've seen people on my friends list complain about over the past year or so, and while I'm certainly not the frequent LJ user I was in, oh, 2002, I can understand why it would be so upsetting. The Russian thing is the last straw, really. I just feel strange staying here now, considering things are most likely going to get worse for us lowly Plus users. So, given the chance to start fresh, I think I'll take it.
My new public journal is
over here. I know most people here don't have GJs, and fewer are willing to get one, but I will still be using this account to read my friends list and comment.
[
ETA: If, by chance, you have a GJ account, comment and I'll add you over there. I need more friends!]
